This past Saturday I had the wonderful opportunity to meet the Nelson family for the first time. I'll have more to share from that shoot later, but this moment needed to have its own blog post.
Honestly, this is one of those moments that I'm having a hard time writing just the right thing. Not because I'm being lazy, or for lack of motivation, but because there's so much more to tell than I can put into words. When Kristen told me that her husband Andy had terminal brain cancer, everything about this photo shoot became that much more important to me. Because for this family, it's about so much more than just photos.
This family session reminded me once again why I do what I do.
It's all about stories. It's all about moments. It's all about memories.
And this father-son moment was one I want to freeze forever.
